Effect of PBP10 on oxidase activity induced by peptide agonists in the presence of cytochalasin B. Neutrophils were activated by fMLF (100 nM) or WKYMVM (100 nM) in the presence of cytochalasin B (2.5 μg/ml, final concentration) and the extracellular release of superoxide anion was recorded (expressed in Mcpm). (A) The figure shows the kinetics of the neutrophil response to fMLF in the absence (solid line) and presence (broken line) of PBP10 (5 μM). The results obtained are summarized in the inset, expressed as the integral values of oxidase activities from the controls (presence of cytochalasin B but not PBP10) and the activities in the presence of both cytocalasin B and PBP10. (B) The figure shows the kinetics of the neutrophil response to WKYMVM in the absence (solid line) and presence of PBP10 (broken line).
